About this Workshop

This workshop will allow participants the opportunity to take a personal inventory of their own privileges, dreams, and/or disadvantages in the professional world. In doing so, it is possible to see the many different ways in which everyone approaches life and the workplace. Migration Tales’ core value is empathy, and it is vital to recognize that this is not just a noun, but a verb — a skill. This workshop will also invite participants to showcase their cultural background and learn how to empower themselves as well as their communities through the act of storytelling.
